Prices are continuously getting higher and higher. Some items are being sold the same price as a new product no matter the wear on the donated item. I don't understand why since they switched to self check out and have less employees. The dressing rooms are no longer available and it is very difficult to return items. I would recommend trying to shop at smaller thriftstores in the area.
1. You get everything in donations, why do you insist on charging for bags?
2. You can’t employee people to check me out?
3. Who do your proceeds even benefit?
4. Some prices are good but the clothing can be bought cheaper NEW at Ross or Burlington.
And I am paying THESE prices for donated items??????????
A big chain thift store. Located in many states. They have large store layouts with a lot of inventory. With a donation drop off area to assist you on unloading your vehicle. You should have some extra time when you go in to shop. They also have a display case with some higher end items to check out. To locate a deal you are going to have to do some good browsing. With their high volume of sales the inventory changes regularly. Parking us abundant. Restrooms are open.
There is a guy who comes there a lot and waits for new racks to come out. Which is cool but he follows you around and stares at anything you grab. Plus his girlfriend works there and they both together have a reselling business. Seems pretty suspicious to me that a lot of the items that should be fair game are getting taken before even being put out.
Prices are far too high, often higher than the original price tags still left on the items. Employees are rude at the checkout and treat every customer like a thief, specifically a young blonde, curly haired employee who has picked over my purchases every time he is there for over a year. I have been nothing but a loyal, paying customer who even donates to the store, and to have employees follow me around and flick through my items when I have not done anything to warrant such behavior is appalling. Stickers are often placed to hide damage to the item or cause damage when removed. Fitting rooms never came back after covid, and the store does not give refunds for clothes that don't fit. Bags for items, which used to be complimentary, are now being sold at the checkout. Every time I've gone to a savers since covid it's gotten worse and worse. You have lost my business, and I hope the rest of your customer base follows as well.
I found a stuffed animal tag priced 2.99. I went to self check out with my cart full of other items to purchase and the manager approached me grabbed this stuffed animal ripped the tag off and said that it had been priced wrong and that she would charge me 5.99. I was completely appalled. I said I wasn't paying that price. I will pay what the Tag says. And she says some employees are wrongly pricing items and that I should pay the difference for their mistake. When I asked to speak with another manager she refused to get one. It was absolutely ridiculous and took 20 minutes away from a very busy day arguing with this uneducated employee. Not to mention embarrassing. I will never shop this store again. They should teach their employees better. Not blame the customer!!I have never been treated like this. Terrible.
Love shopping at Savers, it's like a treasure hunt! My favorite find is usually baskets that would be $30-$40 at most stores. I've found so many in like-new condition for a few dollars. (See pictures) Great finds for furniture flippers at pennies on the dollar. Donate something you're not using anymore on your way in and get a 20% off coupon! No dressing rooms right now but they have a 14 day return policy for store credit.
Went in to find in to find a new Christmas sweater and at first was pleased with their selection until I saw the price tags. Most of the sweaters were priced $20 and up which seems ridiculous for used clothing.
